1. On Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, and Windows 7, you must have administrative privileges on the computer where you install the remote console and you must run it using administrative privileges. After you install the remote console, you can configure the console icon or Start menu item to launch using your administrative privileges. To configure the Properties, right-click the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Console icon on the Windows Desktop or the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Console item on the Start menu, and click Properties > Advanced > Run as Administrator.

2. You may receive a certificate warning when you access Symantec Protection Center or the Web Console. You can eliminate this warning by adding the self-signed certificate to your Trusted Root Certification Authorities. For more information, click here.
